Dear Coral List,

Arizona State University is soliciting applications for a Postdoctoral Research Associate position to develop agent-based models and other quantitative approaches towards representing fish population dynamics, coral growth and coral reef dynamics, and human uses in the marine ecosystem. The primary task will be to help the PI expand and build on an existing agent-based model representing the reef fish fisheries in the Gulf of Mexico. The model will be used to understand the effects of the Deep Water Horizon oil spill on fishing communities and fish populations in the Gulf of Mexico. The incumbent will also have the opportunity to develop their own parallel research, ideally related to one of the research themes described.

For more information, and instructions on how to apply, please see the attached position description.

Thanks,
Steve Saul
